PPL Requirements

What do you require to obtain your Private Pilots License?

  • Restricted Radio License

  • Total of 45 hours flying Instruction –

            – 15 hours solo

            –  3 hours cross country flight

  • Signed Logbook

  • PPL Flight Test

  • You must be at least 15 years of age to start training, 16 for a Student Pilot License (enabling you to go solo) and 17 to attain your Private Pilot License. There is no maximum age limit.

  • You must be able to read, speak and understand English.

  • You must undergo a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) medical examination every two years (annually after 40 years of age). This exam must be performed by a CAA approved medical examiner.
